The final track brings you back into the core theme of the EP the ever present conflict between trans joy and transphobic hate. You will feel as each psychological brick is thrown. How dare we ask for liberation? Asks the world, yet in this despairing acknowledgement of hate, there is hope. In the bleak musical darkness of “ABOMINATION” there is an unyielding defiance and dissent. Daughter channels a refusal to give in as the EP ends with the final screams: ‘we did not chose this war, but with no choice but to fight, if you want our extermination, then face our true might!’ It is that might in the face of extermination that is at the heart of every word, every note and every beat of Daughter’s music.

Epidemic, plague carriers all,
We infect with hope, with joy we stand tall
Why such dread, when we number so small,
